How Do You Scan A Photograph, With Hp Officejet 5510 Printer & Scanner? I Am An Internet Dummy(goofball) Help!?

I need to scan some very old black & white photos, and Email them
I don’t know how to do it can I get some free help?
I have a hp officejet 5510 printer scanner, I normally use it to print from the computer or make copies.

    go to control panel – printers and other hardware – scanners and cameras and choose yours and there you go

    Go to HP Scan solution, start your scanning software. Switch on the scanner/printer. Press scan button in your software – pronot your picture is scanned. Go to image editing software and make any changes you wish. By default it will scan 200dpi and jpg format. You can however change it, if you wish by clicking on Advanced Scanned Settings. Happy Scanning
