Yes, you can, but the bad thing is if that printer is older than your computer, it will not be compatible. I got a new computer and had to turn around and get a new printer as well.
You can try it, but I don’t know if it will work. Go to google.com and do a search for how to install an hp 1200 printer and it will take you to a website that will help you get the printer installed in no time. It does all of the downloading for you

  • HappyCat says:

    You can go to HP.com.
They have a support section were you can search for the PSC 1200 software and download.

  • jardin says:

Try attaching it to the computer and see what it says. My computer searches for the software and does it automatically but it depends on your computer and the printer. If you need the CD you can probably get a program off of HP’s website that will do the same thing.

  • KL says:

you can either use your operating system CD and see if it has drivers (a lot of times it does) or go to the Internet and get them from the manufacturer (HP in this case).
